Airolite delivers "The look that works."

Cantilevered Airolite sun controls filter up to 80% of the sun's heat and glare, cut radiant heat transfer and integrate natural light into atriums, walkways, skylights and work spaces.

While the Airolite name has been synonymous with high quality architectural louvers since 1920, today architects, builders and building owners also associate Airolite with custom grilles, sunscreens and sun controls. In fact, many of the nation’s most prominent commercial buildings coast-to-coast feature Airolite’s all-welded louvers and other innovative architectural products.

Design and Engineering

Capturing the architect’s aesthetic vision with products that provide functional and structural reliability represents the cornerstone of Airolite’s success. Airolite crafts products to meet unique design requirements — whether based on existing product platforms or through custom development. The company built the first U.S. wind-driven test facility in 1956. That commitment to laboratory testing and performance data continues today. With state-of-the-art test facilities, Airolite is a leader in developing products that excel in performance under the latest test procedures and code requirements.

Airolite’s All-Welded Advantage

Most architects carefully consider windload, vibration and stress corrosion in facade design. Yet, many architectural products, typically exposed to the most severe load conditions, fail to address these powerful forces. Airolite’s All-Welded Assembly produces fully-fused connections with the strength and durability to prevent vibration damage and to eliminate the potential for galvanic corrosion.

Stronger Than Stainless Steel Fasteners

Architectural grilles and screens excel as architectural accents, functional facades, and sight, light, or security barriers.

Independent laboratory tests support the Airolite All-Welded Advantage in comparative destructive testing of welded and nonwelded louver assemblies. American Welding Society (AWS) standards demonstrate that welded connections are five to eight times stronger than stainless steel threaded fastener connections.

Finish After Assembly

Airolite applies paint and anodize coatings, in standard and custom colors, only after each product is weld-assembled. Other products constructed with mechanical fasteners are typically produced from prefinished components that are sheared, sawed-to-length or fabricated after coating, leaving raw, unfinished edges and surfaces that invite adhesion failure and corrosion. Airolite Finish-After-Assembly ensures that all exposed edges and surfaces receive the maximum protection offered by the pretreatment and finish coating.

Qwik-Ship Gets It There Fast

When crews and equipment are on-site, on-time delivery is crucial. To meet tight schedules, Airolite Qwik-Ship offers a wide range of available standard configurations and accessories for accelerated delivery. Airolite support staff coordinates closely with project managers to adhere to demanding production schedules.
